5) How did you address your audience?
In my magazine I tried to keep it casual enough for people to read, as it’s not an upmarket magazine but neither is it a rebellious one, the layout is a casual layout with a blend of different colours and an edgy style. Some of the words used help tie in with the “LINGO” of the genre of music with I guess would link it closely with the image, in contains an article of a DJ explaining other genres of music. I tried to keep the colours bright to entice my target audience who would generally be into the bright colours and “rave scene”, the association is kept with some of the words used and the imagery. On the contents page it tells you what articles there are in a chatty casual way, it does not directly address the reader. This magazine, would not apply to any of the older generation because of the wording, but would apply to younger to mid generations.
